Printing and Publishing Projects

Now that the Trust has become more established, we have been able to implement another of our longer term objectives with the development of our publishing programme. Initial projects have included the co-printing of Bibles in French and Bemba and we have also been able to publish versions of a children’s book in English and Chichewa. Please refer to our list of current publications for fuller details. Other projects are in course of development.

We want to facilitate the production of materials relevant to the needs of the developing world, especially those which have a mission emphasis, and encourage local publishing initiatives. Our associates Paul and Angela Lewis, who between them have a wide range of expertise in book production, are available to provide the necessary skills and advice. With their help, OPAL is now in a position to offer a full publishing service by coordinating the different stages of Bible and book production after receipt of the original manuscript – ie copy-editing, design, proof reading, and printing. Our contacts with global printers make it possible for low cost editions of God’s Word and other relevant books to be made available for a needy world.  All publishing projects undertaken for third parties will of course depend on adequate funding being provided.
